Azerbaijan's public catering turnover rises by 22%

In January-March 2023, the public catering turnover in Azerbaijan increased by 21.9% in real terms compared to last year and amounted to 414.8 million manats ($244 million).

Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee, that 50.7% of public catering turnover in the private sector belongs to legal entities and 49.3% to natural persons engaged in entrepreneurial activity in this field.

During the reporting period, 4.7 million manats ($2.8 million) of the public catering turnover were the share of the public sector, and 410 million manats ($241.2 million) were the share of the non-state sector.

The turnover of legal entities increased by 28.4% compared to last year and amounted to 207.7 million manats ($122.18 million).
