Azerbaijan's garlic imports from Russia skyrocket

Azerbaijan imported a staggering 485.8 tons of garlic, valued at $613,600 in the first four months of 2024, marking a significant increase of 54% in volume and 50% in value year-on-year, Report informs, referring to Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee.
The top suppliers of garlic to Azerbaijan during this period were: Iran – 304.2 tons (+19%) worth $395,700 (+19%), Egypt – 80.2 tons (+45%) worth $104,300 (+44%), China – 44.1 tons (no imports last year) worth $57,400, Russia – 47 tons (+16 times) worth $43,000 (+11 times), Georgia – 10.2 tons (no imports last year) worth $13,300.
