Azerbaijan's foreign trade surplus rises more than threefold

In January-March this year, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth $10.908 billion, up 63.6% from the same period last year.
According to the State Customs Committee, exports made $7.981 billion of foreign trade turnover, and imports were responsible for $2.927 billion over the past three months. Exports increased by 92.9%, and imports rose by 15.7% year on year.
As a result, the foreign trade surplus amounted to $ 5.054 billion. This is 3.1 times more than a year ago.
