Azerbaijan's foreign trade surplus almost triples

Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth $4.061 billion in January 2022, up 68.4% from January 2021, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
Last month's exports were responsible for $3.087 billion of foreign trade turnover and imports for $0.975 billion. Over the past year, Azerbaijan’s exports and imports increased by 90.1% and 23.7%, respectively.
As a result, the foreign trade surplus amounted to $2.112 billion, 2.5 times more than a year ago.
