Azerbaijan resumes lemon and lime imports from Spain

Azerbaijan imported 12,104 tons of lemons and limes (both fresh or dried), valued at $10 million in the initial six months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

According to the obtained data, the imports grew by 15 percent in volume and rose by 18 percent in value compared to the corresponding period of 2023.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 10,229 tons (+7.8%) of lemons and limes from Türkiye worth $7.67 million (+7.3%), 1,814 tons (+82%) worth $2.27 million (+82%) from the Republic of South Africa, 38.53 tons (+30%) worth $73,300 (+33%) from Brazil, 17.32 tons worth $21,660 from Spain and 0.86 tons worth $3,760 from Thailand (no supply a year ago).

After a break of 8 years and 5 months, Azerbaijan resumed the supply of lemons and limes from Spain.
