Azerbaijan resumes copper pipe imports from Slovakia

Azerbaijan imported 147 tons of copper pipes of different sizes, valued at $1.4 million in the first four months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2023, the imports rose by 6 percent in volume and 3 percent in value.
In January-April 2024, Azerbaijan supplied 137.35 tons (+17%) of pipes from Uzbekistan worth $1.25 million (+15.5), 4.8 tons (-70%) from Türkiye worth $98,000 (-45%), 3.3 tons (+21%) from Italy worth $46,000 (-0.2%), 1 ton (-40%) from China worth $37,100 (+12.4%), and 0.03 ton (-96%) from the UK worth $1,200 (-95%).
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan resumed the import of copper pipes from Slovakia (0.01 tons worth $500) after a break of 2 years and 8 months.
