Azerbaijan reduces wheat import expenditure by 21% in 2024

In the first nine months of the current year, Azerbaijan imported 759,000 tons of wheat, valued at $166.5 million. Report informs citing the State Customs Committee that this represents a decrease of 33,400 tons (4.2%) and $44.3 million (21%) compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, expenditure on wheat imports accounted for 1.1% of Azerbaijan's total import costs.
