Azerbaijan quintuples revenues from exports of pharmaceutical products

From January through August 2021, Azerbaijan imported pharmaceutical products worth USD 384.925 million, up USD 141.925 million or 58.4% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.

Over the past eight years, the exports of pharmaceuticals increased by USD 1.977 million or 5.1-fold to USD 2.464 million.

Purchases of pharmaceutical products during the reporting period amounted to 5.24% of Azerbaijan’s total imports, while export accounted for 0.02% of total exports.
