An Azerbaijan-Iraq roundtable on business cooperation was organized by the Agency for Development of Small and Medium Businesses (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy with the support of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce.

Report informs that the event was attended by officials from both countries, as well as business people engaged in industry, agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals, construction, tourism, and logistics.

A Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation was signed between KOBIA and the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce during the roundtable. The document was inked by Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of KOBIA, and Abdulrazaq Al-Zuhiri, President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce. The memo covers issues such as exchange of experience in supporting SMEs, promotion of relations between Azerbaijani and Iraqi SMEs.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Azerbaijan and the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce signed a cooperation agreement during the event.

Representatives of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and entrepreneurs visiting Baku held meetings at KOBIA and other organizations and business structures. During the visit, the Iraqi delegation will get acquainted with the production process in Pirallahi Industrial Park, Sumgayit Technology Park, and several industrial enterprises.
