Azerbaijan intends to launch trade house in Qatar

Azerbaijan wants to open a trade house in Qatar and hold an Investment Roadshow, said the Ministry of Economy.

Report informs that Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Qatari Foreign Minister Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi have discussed the issue.

In addition, the sides stressed the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Qatar and the importance of mutual visits in the development of cooperation. Qatar's support for a fair solution to the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty is highly appreciated.

The minister of economy said that trade and investment cooperation is one of the main directions of the Azerbaijan-Qatar partnership. There are active business relations between the business circles of the two countries. Businessmen cooperate in various economic sectors; some Azerbaijani products are sold in Qatari trade networks. The establishment of the Azerbaijan Trade House in Qatar, the organization of the Investment Roadshow, the exchange of information on products with export potential, and other events will contribute to strengthening economic and trade partnerships.

Information about Azerbaijan's favorable business environment and economic potential, the logistical capabilities of industrial zones, and the Alat Free Economic Zone was provided at the meeting.

The Qatari minister stressed his country's interest in expanding relations with Azerbaijan, participation of Qatari companies in projects related to the restoration and development of the liberated territories, and shared his views on the development of Azerbaijani-Qatari economic cooperation.
