Azerbaijan increases electric car imports from China by tenfold

In January–November 2023, Azerbaijan imported 2,425 (6.6 times more year-on-year) electric vehicles for $98.3 million (7.7 times more YoY), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 2,000 electric vehicles (+10.3 times) from China for $71.12 million (+11 times), 217 vehicles (+6.2 times) from Germany for $19.7 million (+7.6 times), 118 vehicles (+2.8 times) from the US for $3.63 million (+2.4 times), 17 vehicles (+6.3%) from Belgium for $1.16 million (+23%), and 27 units (+6.8 times) from the Korea Republic for $1.1 million (+7.7 times).

Some 59% of the $17.67 million worth of electric vehicles brought to Azerbaijan from 14 countries last year were purchased from China, 18.2% from Germany, 9.8% from the US, and 6.7% from Belgium.
