Azerbaijan increases car import 2.2-fold

Baku. 17 January. REPORT.AZ/ In 2018 Azerbaijan imported 28,876 cars, up 15,778 cars or 2.2-fold from the previous year, Report informs citing the State Customs Committee (SCC).

According to the SCC, some 297 or 1% of them were cars with a seating capacity of 10 and more seats, 26,147 or 90.5% passenger cars intended for passenger transportation and other motor vehicles, 2,300 or 8% were trucks, and 132 or 0.5% are special purpose vehicles.

Compared to the previous year, the number of cars with a seating capacity of 10 and more seats has increased by 110 units or 58.8%, the passenger cars intended for passenger transportation and other motor vehicles by 14,537 units or 2.25-fold, trucks by 1,073 units or 87.45% and special purpose vehicles increased by 58 units or 78.4%.
