Azerbaijan imports 182 tons of sausage from Ukraine

In 2020, Azerbaijan imported a total of 182 tons of sausages from Ukraine, Report informs with reference to the Ukrainian media.

According to the data, Azerbaijan accounted for 13% of Ukraine’s total sausage exports.

However, Ukraine’s imports of sausages doubled in 2020 and reached 4,700 tons. It is 12 times more than in 2016. Mainly, the imports came from Europe. In terms of weight, 73% of the imported sausages were from Poland, while in terms of monetary value, Spain is the leader, accounting for 43%.

Exports of Ukrainian sausage lag far behind imports. The country exported just 1,400 tons in 2020. However, the main buyers were not Spain and Poland, but Nigeria (25% of export earnings), Georgia (21%), Azerbaijan (13%), Jordan (11%), and Moldova (5%).
