Baku. 17 November. REPORT.AZ/ The conference titled "Development of women entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan" has today started within the framework of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017, mediated by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and financial support of the US Government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Report informs, the event was attended by members of Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis), representatives of government agencies, public unions, international organizations, embassies and thinking tanks.
The participants discussed ways to overcome the obstacles facing the development of women entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.
USAID Mission Director in Azerbaijan, Mikaela Meredith said that support for entrepreneurship is a top priority for the US government. The Mission Director highly appreciated the steps taken by the Azerbaijani government to accelerate development of entrepreneurship.
It was noted that on November 13-19, millions of people around the world will inspire, join and attract new generation entrepreneurs, take part in various events and competitions.
