Azerbaijan plans to attract companies from global indices

The investment promotion strategy of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) sets the goal of attracting companies included in global indices to Azerbaijan, Report informs, quoting Acting Chairman of AZPROMO Yusif Abdullayev.

Abdullayev noted that the strategy is aimed at attracting ten companies that form a global basket of stock indices to Azerbaijan until 2025.

"However, it is hard to predict how things will go in 2021," he added. "There may be some positive steps after the completion of the coronavirus vaccination. But currently, there are difficulties for the movement of ordinary investors. In particular, European countries have strict quarantine rules. The companies that are our main target are from European countries," he said.
