Azerbaijan, Bulgaria exchange taxation expertise

Azerbaijan and Bulgaria have strengthened their bilateral relations in taxation and exchanged valuable experiences, Report informs, citing the State Tax Service (STS) under the Economy Ministry of Azerbaijan.

An STS delegation visited Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, for this purpose.

During the visit, the delegation held several meetings with senior officials from the National Revenue Agency of Bulgaria. In these meetings, the STS delegation presented their national experiences. The presentations covered various topics, including the services provided by the Azerbaijani tax administration, methods for determining taxpayer satisfaction levels, assessing services and improving their quality, key performance indicators in this area, and mechanisms for verifying the compliance of actual indicators.

Additionally, they shared information on the application of customer-centric principles in the Tax Administration, the activities of the user experience laboratory (UX-laboratory), and the development of proactive and situational services.

The delegation also visited the Iztok service center of the National Revenue Agency to learn about its operations.

The exchange included discussions on court and pre-trial dispute resolution, the handling of administrative complaints, taxpayer services, in-camera tax audits, and other areas.

The visit was part of the activities of the newly established working group between the tax services of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
