Azerbaijan boosts apple export revenues by nearly 10%

In January–June 2026, Azerbaijan exported 47,867 tons of apples, valued at just under $39 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee.
According to the latest data, this represents a decrease of nearly 2,754 tons (5.4%) in volume, while marking an increase of $3.389 million (9.5%) in value compared to the same period of 2025.
In the first half of the year, revenue from apple exports accounted for only a small share of Azerbaijan's overall export earnings.
Overall, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $24.661 billion during the January–June period, representing a 1.1% increase year-on-year.
Of this, $16.320 billion came from exports and $8.341 billion from imports. Year‑on‑year, exports rose by 26.7%, while imports dropped by 27.6%.
As a result, a trade surplus of $7.979 billion was recorded in the first half, which is 5.9 times higher than in the same period last year.
