Azerbaijan almost halves imports of ferrous metals

From January through April 2021, Azerbaijan imported 166,000 metric tons of ferrous metals and products made from them for $225 million, Report informs, citing the country’s State Customs Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, the monetary value of the imports decreased by $146 million, or 39.4%, while the volume dwindled by 47.5%, or 150,000 metric tons.
The import of ferrous metals amounted to 6.4% of the total imports of Azerbaijan during the reporting period.
