Automobile exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan decreased by 4 times

Baku. 31 August. REPORT.AZ/ In January-July 2015 in comparison with January-July 2014 the volume of exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan decreased by 55% (to 186.2 million) and amounted to about 151.6 million - 6.9% of the Georgia's total exports. Report informs referring to the Georgian media, it was stated by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Gruzstat).

Automobile exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan reduced by almost 4 times. Thus, in January-July 2015 from Georgia to Azerbaijan cars were exported in the amount of $ 46 million, which is 121.1 million dollars less than in January-July 2014.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan remedies have been exported in the amount of $ 19 million, which is 2.3 million more than in January-July 2014.

During the reporting period, also recorded a decrease in imports from Azerbaijan to Georgia. In January-July 2015 in comparison with January-July 2014 the volume of imports from Azerbaijan to Georgia decreased 9.1% to about 316.1 million - 4.4% of the total import of Georgia.

During the reporting period, from Azerbaijan to Georgia was imported 150.1 thousand tons of crude oil and petroleum products in the amount of 79.4 million dollars, 56.2 million less than in January-July 2014.

During the reporting period, the import of electricity amounted to more than $ 7.1 million, which is 5.1 million more than in January-July 2014.

In January-July 2015, Azerbaijan ranks second among the major trade partners of Georgia. Georgia's foreign trade turnover with Azerbaijan for the period amounted to 468 million dollars, which is 32% less than in January-July 2014. The turnover with Azerbaijan amounted to 5% of the total foreign trade turnover of Georgia.
