Russian Ambassador: Trade turnover with Azerbaijan exceeded $ 500 million in January-March

In January-March 2019, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia exceeded $ 500 million, Russian Ambassador Mikhail Bocharnikov said at a press conference.
"Relations are developing steadily. There's no doubt about it. There is a friendly atmosphere. We are moving forward in all directions," he said.
The Ambassador noted that the sphere of trade is one of the main directions of bilateral cooperation.
"According to Russian statistics for January-March this year, the trade turnover between our countries exceeded half a billion dollars. Compared to last year this figure was 2 billion 400 million dollars. Our trade is not based on the oil sector. It includes agriculture, mechanical engineering, etc," he concluded.
