Ambassador: Indian companies are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan

Baku hosted Azerbaijan-India business symposium in connection with the visit of India Industrial Confederation to Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan Bavitlung Vanlalvavna made an opening speech at the symposium.

"Indian companies are interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan. The delegation includes companies on tourism, trade, education, energy. Azerbaijan is the fourth country in India’s export and holds 5.5% of total export. There are wide opportunities for cooperation in pharmacology, IT and other fields. Last year, 40,000 tourists visited Azerbaijan from India. This figure is increasing year-on-year,"  the ambassador said.
