Baku. 13 July. REPORT.AZ/ Salvador Dali's remains will be exhumed on July 20, said a source in the Mayor's Office of Spain's Figueres city in Catalonia.
In late June, the Madrid Court made the decision to exhume Dali's remains to identify paternity. Thus, the judge has satisfied the suit of Girona resident, clairvoyant Pilar Abel Martines claiming that Dali is her father.
The artist's grave is located at the theatre-museum of Salvador Dali founded by himself in Figueras. The tomb with the artist's body is under one of the slabs. A DNA sample will be taken at the museum; it is not planned to take the remains away from the museum.
Salvador Dali died on January 23, 1989, at the age of 85. He bequeathed to bury him the way that people would be able to walk on his grave; therefore, Dali's body was buried under the floor of one of the rooms of the theatre-museum.
