Prominent composer Uzeyir Hajibayli commemorated in Azerbaijan

Baku. 23 November. REPORT.AZ/ Today is the remembrance day of Uzeyir Hajibayli- the founder of Azerbaijani professional music, People's Artist of the USSR, prominent composer and outstanding public figure.

Report informs that on this occasion, the composer’s grave  in the Alley of Honor was visited.

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the leadership of the Union of Composers, musicians, vocal artists and actors attended the event.

Chairman of the Union of Composers Firangiz Alizadeh said that Uzeyir Hajibeyli's genius is known to everyone. "He is always with us, his music is always sounded, you cannot find similar compositions in any other country, he was not only a great composer, he also brought up great composers."

Notably, Uzeyir bey Hajibayli died on November 23 in 1948.
