Baku. 30 December. REPORT.AZ/ Poland's culture ministry has bought art collection of 86 000 artefacts, including a rare Leonardo da Vinci painting, Rembrandt and Renoir works for 100 mln USD.
Report informs citing BBC, an agreement was reached after long-term negotiations between Poland Minister of Culture Piotr Glinski and Adam Karol Czartoryski, owner of the collection.
Also, in addition to works at the Czartoryski museum in Krakow, 250.000 manuscripts and books given to Poland.
Notably, real value of the collection, founded by Izabela Czartoryska in 1804, is 2.4 bln USD.
