Marked 110th anniversary of actor Ismayil Daghistanli

Baku. 27 January. REPORT.AZ/ The Academic National Drama Theatre hosted a commemoration ceremony dedicated to the 110th anniversary of prominent theater and film actor, People's Artist of the USSR, Ismayil Daghistanli.

Report informs, citing the press service of the theater, the ceremony was organized by the Culture and Tourism Ministry, Azerbaijan Theatre Figures' Union, Academic National Drama Theatre and Azerbaijan State Museum of Theatre.

Speaking at the event, art director of Academic National Drama Theatre, Peoples Artist, Azer Pasha Nemat talked about contributions of Ismayil Daghistanli to Azerbaijani theatre and cinema.

A.P.Nemat shared his memories about Ismayil Daghistanli and added that the actor’s memory will live forever and will be remembered as long as Azerbaijani culture lives.

Ismayil Daghistanli’s daughter Lamiya Daghistanli expressed her thanks to management of Culture and Tourism Ministry and Academic National Drama Theatre for their attention to her father’s memory.

Scriptwriter of the commemoration ceremony is Chingiz Alasgarli, director, People's Artist Marahim Farzalibayov, artist, honored worker of culture Ilham Elkhanoghlu.
