Baku. 20 April. REPORT.AZ/ Rumble of the drum, the mystical sound of the Moroccan lute and the chime of metal plates. A concert of the Moroccan ethnic group performing the ancient traditional music "Gnawa"  was held in Baku. Report informs, this is the first concert of the band in Azerbaijan.

This time, the Baku audience had an opportunity to learn about the history of Morocco through deep, mystical music.

Sounding in the stage of International Mugam Center, "Gnawa" is a religious and ritual music, in ancient times, around 500 years ago, creatures of the representatives of the people of the same name from South of the Sahara. Today, these people live in Morocco and Algeria.

"Gnawa" is not just music, said Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan Mohamed Adil Ambarch, informing the audience about the traditions and meaning of "Gnawa" - "this is the way of life of the people".
