Azerbaijan launches pop song contest among composers

Baku. 4 August. REPORT.AZ/ A pop song contest among composers has been announced in Azerbaijan.

Report informs, the contest is organized by “Culture” TV channel and “Azerbaijan” radio.

According to Director of “Culture” TV channel Ramil Gasimov, the main purpose of the contest is to help compose modern pop songs, bring to light the works written by contemporary composers and support young talents.

The contest will also ensure the coverage of the economic-cultural development of the country; high-quality samples of culture will be demonstrated to wider public.

Within the framework of the project, 20 young talents will be selected; works of composers will be aired on TV and radio. At the pop song contest, some 20 beautiful songs will be chosen among composers.
