"The visit of President Ilham Aliyev, as a victorious leader, to Kalbajar and Lachin regions is of great historical and strategic importance," MP Hikmet Babaoglu told Report.

Babaoglu said that in his speech as the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the glorious and victorious army that liberated our lands from occupation, the President of Azerbaijan once again resolutely expressed Azerbaijan's principled position, accurately assessed the current military-political situation, and gave clear and concrete messages to Armenia and its patrons.

"It became clear once again that the political and military-strategic situation is entirely under the control of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan, which has restored its territorial integrity through its national power and is now dictating all the conditions, can prevent any attempt at provocation and crush the head of Armenian fascism that lives with a revanchist mentality," the MP said.

He added that in the 44-day war, Azerbaijan dispelled many myths and proved the reality not only to the occupying Armenia but also to the centers that still live with colonial thinking, pro-Armenian and Islamophobic circles.

"The myth of 'heroic Armenian soldier' and 'prominent Armenian commanders' was scattered. The Azerbaijani army had its say on the battlefield, but the Armenian executioners, who had the ability to wage war on the people, fled and hid. Criminals such as Kocharyan, Sargsyan, and Ohanyan, who killed civilians in Khojaly, fled to Yerevan for fear of confronting our brave army. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces also shattered the myth of the 'invincible Armenian army' and punished the aggressors. Those who want to see this should take a look at the Military Trophy Park, which symbolizes our historic victory - a remarkable victory in the centuries-old history of our people," the MP noted.

The parliamentarian also stated that during the visit, President Ilham Aliyev also said the Azerbaijani state had shown a principled approach to all issues based on national interests:

"In this context, bringing to the fore the crimes of foreign companies plundering Azerbaijan's natural resources during the occupation is particularly important. The head of state stressed that these companies have two options - either to pay compensation or to be brought before an international court. Undoubtedly, this is a clear example of the determination and national strength of Azerbaijan, which is in a just and fair position. In addition, the head of state touched upon specific issues related to Azerbaijan's strategic goals, prospects, and multifaceted activities. President Ilham Aliyev noted that the reconstruction process in the liberated territories, the creation of the necessary infrastructure are being processed, and our country is determined to continue the Great Return at the highest level. 'We are located in Zangazur and are strengthening there. 'This is our land', and 'We will stand where we need to be' are expressions of determination, will, and moral position. As a result, the views expressed by President Ilham Aliyev show that the Azerbaijani state has not retreated from its unwavering position and is moving forward step by step to its strategic goals."
