Training participants on tourism management and services were awarded

Baku. 7 April. REPORT.AZ/ Today, training participants on tourism management and services were awarded with certificates recognizing their achievement. The trainings were part of the joint project between the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) in Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Overall, nearly 60 students of Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University participated at the trainings, with 35 of them being recognized for their successful completion of the course, Report was told in the UNDP Baku Office.

Ms. Nato Alhazishvili, UNDP Deputy Residential Representative and Mr. Eldar Aslanov, vice-rector of Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University congratulated the successful graduates on their completion of the course. Welcoming participants, Ms. Alhazishvili noted this success as a joint commitment to promote the Sustainable Development Goals in the country. 

“This projectrepresents just one aspect of the UNDP’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. By organizing vocational training for workers in the national tourism industry, UNDP seeks to promote the growth of the national economy and empower individuals”, she said.

The organized trainings was designedto provide participants with practical education that will help them succeed as part of Azerbaijan’s growing tourism sectorandfacilitate greater participation in the tourism sector.
