Thailand to open borders for fully vaccinated tourists from Nov 1

The Thai government will cancel the quarantine mode from November 1 for travelers fully vaccinated against coronavirus, arriving from a number of countries with a low prevalence of infection.

Report informs, citing TASS that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said this on Monday during a televised address.

"I have instructed the Kingdom's Ministry of Health and the Kingdom's Coronavirus Center to urgently consider during this week the issue of admitting international travelers to the country from November 1, if they are fully vaccinated and arrive in Thailand by plane from countries with a low prevalence of infection," he noted.

The prime minister specified that while the list of countries will consist of 10 states, including Britain, Germany, Singapore, China and the United States. He added that the list of territories from where tourists will be able to arrive without serving quarantine mode will be expanded twice - by December 1 and January 1.
