Sri Lanka set to introduce visas for digital nomads

Sri Lanka is preparing to introduce visas specifically designed for "digital nomads". The island nation aims to attract an increasing number of location-independent professionals to its shores.

Pakkir Amza, the Chargé d'Affaires of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation, confirmed this development, stating, "It's already in the works. In the current conditions, the digital economy is one of our country's top priorities. As for special visas, I believe they could be introduced very soon."

Sri Lanka's focus is on attracting programmers, designers, online entrepreneurs, and other professionals capable of working remotely.
