Presidential special rep: Istisu Sanatorium being restored in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar

Restoration work is underway at the Istisu Sanatorium in Azerbaijan's Kalbajar district, and the design of a settlement of the same name has begun, President's Special Representative for the Kalbajar district, Bashir Hajiyev, said at a conference on health tourism in Azerbaijan held in Shusha, Report informs.

He also noted that construction work continues on the Toghanali-Kalbajar-Istisu road.

"The construction of this road is planned to be completed next year. The 82 km long road is of great importance. Additionally, the design of the Istisu settlement has begun," he added.

In his speech, he touched upon the region's rich tourism potential and emphasized that the presence of three international airports in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur will create conditions for the arrival of a large number of foreign tourists to Kalbajar in the future.
