In 2023, Shusha welcomed 1,133 visitors, Report informs, referring to the Cabinet of Ministers.
The inaugural tour to Shusha commenced on March 18, 2023, with a two-day itinerary for a group of 40 individuals.
During their stay, tourists explored notable sites such as the Jidir Plain, Molla Panah Vagif’s Mausoleum, Shusha Castle, and the “Khari Bulbul” symbol.
They also toured the Yukhari and Ashaghi Govhar Agha Mosques, the Bulbul House-Museum, and various historical monuments in the Chukhur and Merdinli neighborhoods.
Additional points of interest included Sadigjan’s residence, the “Shot Busts” square, Khurshidbanu Natavan’s palace, a fountain funded by the poet, Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s statue, and Natavan’s House.
Note that regular bus services to Shusha and Aghdam began on January 24, 2022. By February 21, there had been 691 trips, facilitating the visit of 28,227 passengers to these historically significant regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
