Number of Israeli citizens visiting Azerbaijan more than quadruples

In January-October 2022, 22,083 people visited Azerbaijan from Israel, up 4.4 times from a year earlier, Report informs, citing the State Tourism Agency.

In connection with Victory Day and State Flag Day, an open-door day was held at the Azerbaijan Tourism Representative Offices in Tel Aviv, Israel. Visitors to the office, as well as members of the diaspora, foreign students, tourism partners, and employees of diplomatic missions located in Tel Aviv, are informed about the tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan, the tourism potential of the liberated territories, the restoration and reconstruction work in Karabakh, as well as the history and cultural heritage of the region and the rich Jewish heritage in Azerbaijan.

As part of the event, the founder and head of the Dona Gracia Center for Diplomacy operating in Israel and the author of various articles on Karabakh political scientist and journalist Rachel Abraham, who has visited the liberated territories several times, made a presentation about the history of the region and the Karabakh conflict.
