A total of 26,657 flights were carried out to Azerbaijan from 38 countries in 2024, up three countries (+8.5%) and 3,875 flights (+17%), year on year, Report informs, citing the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan.
The highest number of flights to Azerbaijan in 2024 came from Russia, with 7,738 flights, a 10.4% increase from the previous year. Türkiye followed with 5,813 flights, up 3.6% year-on-year. The United Arab Emirates ranked third with 3,242 flights, marking a 32.8% increase.
The top ten countries also included:
- Georgia: 2,009 flights (+19.9%)
- Kazakhstan: 888 flights (+10.1%)
- Saudi Arabia: 817 flights (-11.3%)
- India: 663 flights (+2.9 times)
- Qatar: 574 flights (+59.3%)
- Uzbekistan: 427 flights (-27.1%)
- Kuwait: 416 flights (+9.1%)
Notably, India replaced Germany, which had 334 flights (+11.1%), in the top ten.
In December 2024 alone, the number of flights to Azerbaijan increased by 4.3% compared to the same month in the previous year, totaling 2,144 flights. This included 569 flights from Russia, which was a 6.2% decrease year-on-year.
