An international conference on the topic “Archaeological tourism and sustainable management” has kicked off at the State Historical and Architectural Reserve “Ateshgah Temple” in Baku, Report informs.
The event was organized by the State Tourism Agency in partnership with the Institute of Archeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The conference, which will conclude on May 24, is attended by 15 experts from the US, the UK, Italy, Israel, Germany, Türkiye and other countries.
Among the event participants are the heads of the world’s leading archaeological parks and representatives of the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). More than 20 reports will be presented at the conference.
