The tax liabilities of the Georgian tourism sector on real estate for 2021 have been written off, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili told a cabinet meeting, the local bureau of Report informs.
He said that the current situation and the existing problems in the tourism sector were studied.
“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this sector, as well as the hotel and restaurant industry have suffered. Therefore, this sector is exempted from real estate tax for 2021. I think this step will be an important support for the tourism sector."
