Georgia's income from tourism reaches record high

Georgia's income from international tourism in the first half of the year reached a record level - $1.9 billion, Report informs, citing the National Tourism Administration of Georgia.

According to the National Bank of Georgia, tourism revenues by country are as follows: Russia - $380.1 million; Türkiye - $287 million; EU countries and the UK - $246.3 million; Israel – $175.4 million; Azerbaijan - $78.5 million; Ukraine – $69 million; Iran - $64.2 million; Armenia - $64.1 million; Belarus – $39 million; Saudi Arabia – $32.6 million; other countries - $462 million.

In the first half of 2024, foreigners made more than 3 million visits to Georgia (annual growth of 5.6%), and most of them were from neighboring countries - Türkiye, Russia and Armenia.
