Georgia earned $39M from Azerbaijani tourists in 1H22

In the first half of 2022, Georgia earned $39 million from visitors from Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the National Bank of Georgia.

According to the bank, Georgia received 66,398 visitors from Azerbaijan during the reporting period, and the average expenditures of one visitor were $592.

In January-June 2022, Georgia earned a total of $1.14 billion from international visitors. The highest revenue was in June - $302 million.

The most profitable visitors to Georgia were from Russia ($219 million), Belarus (123 million US dollars), EU ($121 million), Turkiye ($109 million) and Ukraine ($108 million).
