Expert: Coronavirus vaccine can restore tourism revenues by 75%

"The discovery of a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine in the world is an important innovation. Suppose this vaccine is provided equally to all people. In that case, global tourism revenues could reach $ 3 trillion in 2021, which means a 75% recovery in 2019, " President of the World Forum Institute in Turkey Bulut Bağcı said, Report states, citing foreign press.

"In 2022, the world is expected to earn $ 5 trillion from tourism," he said.

Restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic in January-October resulted in global tourism revenues falling by $ 935 billion compared to the same period last year. The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) also reported on this issue.

According to the information, for ten months, tourist facilities received 900 million fewer tourists a year. This figure is the same as in 1990. By the end of 2020, the number of international trips is predicted to be 70-75% less than in 2019. Last year, 1.5 billion visits took place around the world.
