Chile opens borders to vaccinated foreigners

The Chilean government has decided to lift the ban on the entry of foreigners with an approved coronavirus vaccination certificate, the Chilean Health Ministry said, Report informs via TASS.

"The government will allow vaccinated foreigners to enter the country from October 1," the ministry said.

However, all persons entering the country must comply with the 5-day quarantine. They must also provide information about their health and whereabouts within the first 14 days of their stay.

To date, 1.6 million people in the country have contracted the coronavirus, of which 37,000 have died. In the land of 19.6 million people, 13.3 million people have been fully vaccinated.
