Baku. 30 May. REPORT.AZ/ Within their visit to Azerbaijan, tourism experts of Milan Chamber of Commerce Sandro Angiolini and Gilberto Zangari have visited Baku Business Factory (BBF) to review business opportunities created in the company.
Report informs, BBF Project Manager Rashad Mammadov has provided a broad information to guests on the company's activities, as well as exchanged his views to define development directions of tourism in Azerbaijan, improve public relations and communications on tourism in the regions. The meeting noted that customer service in tourism industry is one of the areas in BBF's special focus of attention to diversify the country's economy.
In the meeting, Ilyas Farhadli, Public Relations Manager of “OBANATUR”, which is a startup on tourism project of Baku Business Factory, briefed about the company activities and shared the experience history. Also, discussions were held with foreign experts on themes of business development consultations, the expanding further cooperation and partnership with travel companies.
Notably, Azerbaijan Young Entrepreneurs Network is implementing a project within the “EAST INVEST 2” program in order to learn experience of Italian rural and agro tourism. The Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Agency of Milan Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Craft and Agriculture (Formaper) are main partners of the project. The Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry has signed Agreement ENPI /2014/347-097 with the European Commission (EC) for implementation of “EAST INVEST 2” program. Main purpose of the program is to support development of competitiveness of private sector and favorable economic environment in order to increase trade turnover and investment between the European Union member states and Eastern Partnership countries, including Azerbaijan. To achieve this goal, implementation of the project was chosen on development of tourism potential of Azerbaijani regions within the program.
Districts of Sheki-Zagatala economic region were chosen on different evaluation criteria to develop tourism potential of Azerbaijani regions. As a part of the project, entrepreneurs from Oghuz, Sheki, Gakh, Zagatala, Balakan districts have attended trainings in Italy on various topics, experience of entrepreneurs acting in rural and agro tourism in Italian region Tuscany was studied. tourism experts of Milan Chamber of Commerce Sandro Angiolini and Gilberto Zangari have visited Azerbaijan to assess farm businesses of entrepreneurs involved in the project and hold relevant business consultations.
