Azerbaijan, Turkiye plan to organize mutual info tours

It is planned to organize mutual info tours and joint events related to tourism between Turkiye and Azerbaijan, hold B2B (business-to-business) meetings, and expand communication relations.

Report informs that this was discussed at a meeting between the chiefs of the Association of Travel Agencies of Azerbaijan and the State Tourism Agency and the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) in Istanbul, Turkiye.

Discussions also included promoting cooperation in the field of tourism and expanding mutual relations.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association Goydeniz Kahramanov said that the cooperation with Turkiye is of great importance for the tourism market of Azerbaijan, and the establishment of joint tourism activities between the tourism organizations of the two countries is an important factor. The Chairman said that in terms of the development of domestic tourism and increasing the number of tourists coming to the country, the exchange of experience with Turkiye would bring positive results for the tourism sector in the coming years.

Adviser to the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Kanan Guluzada stated that Azerbaijan and Turkiye are working together under the action plan for the development of tourism and noted that the Agency is interested in increasing the number of tourist trips organized both from Turkiye to Azerbaijan and from Azerbaijan to Turkiye within the framework of bilateral cooperation.
