Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau cooperates with Skyscanner platform

The Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau (ATB) under the State Tourism Agency has launched an online campaign on the Skyscanner platform, which serves as a meta-search engine and makes available the airfare, hotel, and car rental, Report says, citing ATB.

As part of the campaign, www.skyscanner.net provides detailed information in English about flights to, hotels, and tourism in Azerbaijan for users of the international platform from Israel, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Turkey.

Thus, when users of the platform change the main page for the listed countries, they are redirected to a page with interesting information about Azerbaijan.

This page contains extensive information about the facilities of our country included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, examples of architecture and crafts, nature, multicultural environment.

At the same time, ads with various content are placed on the platform's Facebook and Instagram accounts. These ads serve to increase awareness of the country's tourism potential by directing users to relevant pages, as well as to easily plan a trip to Azerbaijan.

Skyscanner, an online travel agency, was founded in 2003 in the United Kingdom. The site, which acts as a meta-search engine for travel, is visited by 100 million people every month.

The ATB has previously partnered with DnataTravel, the UAE's leading travel platform, Travelask.ru, one of Russia's largest travel platforms, as well as international platforms Wego, Expedia, and Aviasales.
