Azerbaijan to build five-star hotel in Issyk-Kul

At a meeting on September 11, the budget committee of the Kyrgyz parliament will consider a draft agreement with Azerbaijan on the construction of a five-star hotel on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, MP Dastan Bekeshev said, Report informs referring to Kyrgyz media.

“The Cabinet of Ministers undertakes to complete the infrastructure and build a road to the boarding house, exempt the hotel from taxes for 10 years, provide land for 49 years with the right to extend use, and Azerbaijan undertakes to build a hotel within three years and employ 70% of workers from Kyrgyzstan,” the deputy said.

In addition to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan also plans to build hotels in Kyrgyzstan. Bishkek intends to transfer the boarding houses Enesai (Dilorom), Bosteri (Golden Sands), Rohat and Buston to Uzbekistan for 49 years.
