The Azerbaijan Tourism Board, operating under the State Tourism Agency, was featured as the chosen destination of the year at the 13th Travel Agencies Day organized by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce in Austria.
According to Report, alongside the Tourism Board, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) represented by AVIAREPS, and Austria's Elite Tours presented special tourism offers promoting Azerbaijan as a significant destination.
The event, which brought together nearly 180 representatives from the tourism industry, provided information about Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage and unique tourism experiences.
Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, emphasized that establishing direct flights from Vienna to Baku is a strategic goal. He noted that these flights will positively impact the expansion of tourism ties not only with Austria but also with other target countries in the region.
Sengstschmid also mentioned that promotional activities aimed at increasing the number of tourists in Austria will be intensified.
The event concluded with a captivating performance by Azerbaijani jazz musician Isfar Sarabski.
