Azerbaijan, Serbia mull expansion of tourism relations

On August 16, the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency Fuad Nagiyev and the Ambassador of Serbia to Azerbaijan Dragan Vladisavljevic discussed the issues of restoration of tourism and expansion of tourism relations and cooperation prospects between Azerbaijan and Serbia in the post-pandemic period.

At the meeting, Nagiyev noted that since the beginning of this year, there had been a significant increase in tourism arrival statistics against the background of the restoration of the tourism industry and that the number of foreign citizens who came to the country in January-July increased by 128% compared to last year.

Ambassador Dragan Vladisavljevic expressed his belief that tourism relations will contribute to the development of bilateral ties between the two countries.

Within the framework of the meeting, views were exchanged on the measures taken in the direction of the recovery of the tourism industry in both countries after the pandemic and the development of a joint action plan in the field of tourism.
