Azerbaijan sees 2.5 times increase in incoming tourists in December

In 2021, 790,062 tourists visited Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani State Tourism Agency.

According to the agency, this figure is 1% less than in 2020.

Over 97,700 of them visited Azerbaijan in December, and this is 2.5 times more than in December 2020.

The number of incoming tourists decreased by 75% compared to 2019, by 60% - compared to December 2019.

Besides, the number of tourists in January, February and March 2021 decreased by 84%, 82% and 52%, respectively, compared to the same months of 2020. However, there was an increase in April (133%), May (107%), June (156%), July (197%), August (145%), September (95%), October (167%), November (136%) and December (151%).
