Azerbaijan’s tourism opportunities demonstrated in Spain

Tourism opportunities of Azerbaijan are displayed at the Fitur tourism exhibition held in Madrid, the capital of Spain, organized by the State Tourism Agency and the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, together with four local partners, Report informs.

The exhibition, considered one of the biggest tourism events in Spanish-speaking countries, hosts B2B (Business to Business) meetings with tour operators and travel agencies from Spain, Portugal, Latin America, as well as airlines and promotional companies.

During the meetings, tourism companies of Spanish-speaking countries expressed their interest in organizing joint tours in the South Caucasus region.

At the exhibition, which will last until January 22, visitors to the national stand and representatives of the international tourism industry are provided with extensive information about Azerbaijan’s tourist attractions, samples of national cuisine, winemaking, golf, health, cultural, as well as mountain and winter tourism opportunities, mountain-skiing centers.

As part of the exhibition, Secretary General of the UN World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili, Azerbaijan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Spain and Andorra Ramiz Hasanov visited the national stand of Azerbaijan.

More than 8,000 companies from 131 countries are participating in the 43rd Fitur exhibition this year, and more than 120,000 people are expected to visit the exhibition.
