The Azerbaijani delegation, with the support of the State Tourism Agency (STA), is attending the KITF 2022 International Tourism and Travel Exhibition, which kicked off today in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Report informs, citing the agency.
Five local tourism companies, two hotel groups, Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, Nakhchivan Tourism Department and Duzdag Hotel are participating in Azerbaijan's national stand at the exhibition. The stand provides extensive information about the tourism potential of Azerbaijan, including the liberated territories, new tourism products and trends. In addition, a special pavilion dedicated to health tourism presents the potential and existing opportunities of Azerbaijan.
The exhibition includes meetings with representatives of tourism companies in Kazakhstan, as well as companies from other Central Asian countries and organizations specializing in tourism. Representatives of STA, Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Kazakh Tourism, as well as AZAL and AIR Astana spoke at the panel session entitled "New Trends: Development Moments and Systems".
Held annually since 2001, KITF is the largest professional tourism platform in Central Asia. The exhibition, which is expected to be attended by about 250 tourism companies and organizations from 15 countries, introduces the tourism opportunities and tourism products of the countries and provides a platform to discuss opportunities for cooperation.
This year's exhibition will last until April 22.
